Wang of Estanglia

Wuffa's imaginary representation by John Speed, 1611: "Saxon Heptarchy".

Wuffa or Ufa (? - c 578) was king of Estanglia (571-578). Son of King Wehha, he was the father of his successor, Tytila, and grandfather of Raedwald, who, without conclusive evidence, wanted to identify with the character for whom the funeral boat of Sutton Hoo (at the beginning of the 7th century) Woodbridge, Suffolk). The royal family members of East Anglia, in their memory, called themselves the Wuffinga (The Wuffings).

His name, in Old English, would be the diminutive of wolf.
