Nanumaga or Nanumanga is an island, atoll or district of Tuvalu. It has an approximate area of ​​3 km². During 1986 it became a center of debate among Pacific archaeologists, who discovered the submerged Caves of Nanumanga, in which they found presence of fire created by pre historic inhabitants.
