Nanumaga or Nanumanga is an island, atoll or district of Tuvalu. It has an approximate area of ​​3 km². During 1986 it became a center of debate among Pacific archaeologists, who discovered the submerged Caves of Nanumanga, in which they found presence of fire created by pre historic inhabitants. Its economy is based on the tourism its wild fauna is a great attraction for tourism.
