National Independent Party


The National Independent Party (Spanish: Partido Nacional Independiente) was a Mexican political party.

The party was founded in 1911 after dictator Porfirio Díaz was overthrown during the Mexican Revolution. The party had a radical program, the party was in favor of full press freedom, a ban on re-election, the break-up of land ownership, more rights for indigenous peoples and legal protection for workers.

In the presidential elections of 1911, the party Francisco I Madero supported in the presidential elections and Francisco Vázquez Gómez in the elections for the Vice President. During the 1913 elections, the outcome of which was canceled by Victoriano Huerta, the party supported Manuel Calero and Jesús Flores Magón. Presidential candidates
