Intro

The tune of the program was followed by a men's voice saying the words: It's (Sun) Eve, (Ten) Hour, 36 on Richter's scale, Time for RUR! RUR is a program of art, culture, sex and science, in short, RUR! Your rock in the branding of the conversation is ... Jan Lenferink. The presentation

Lenferink, always dressed in striped long sleeved shirt and tie, always received three guests in the program, who were introduced to a short poem by a fourth guest. He always started with one guest after which there was a second and third guest after a certain period of time. Characteristic, besides Lenferink's clothes, was the fact that he drank milk during each broadcast. In conclusion, Lenferink had a short conversation with the fourth guest.

The slogan of the program was: Three men in a cooker hood. Broadcasts

RUR was broadcast from 1983 to 1987 from the disco 36 on the Scale of Richter in the Amsterdam Reguliersdwarsstraat. From 1987 the show was recorded in RoXY and Studio Plantage. In the early nineties, presenter Jan Lenferink took the talk show to his own café Royal in the Gravenstraat and came to abbreviate for Direct from Royal.

At the end of the nineties, some new episodes of RUR were broadcast on SBS 6, but due to disappointing views, it was short-lived. More information
