The Biesca

It is called as Biesca the largest hazelnut forest in the Cantabrian Mountains, and one of the largest in Europe. It is located in Solle, a town of the municipality of Puebla de Lillo, in the Province of León, Spain

It is the biggest tourist attraction of Solle, this small town of the mountain leonesa. To this forest come every weekends dozens of tourists to make the route of the Biesca. This route is flooded by snow in the winter months, part of autumn and early spring, so that the influx of tourists to carry it is interrupted. The route passes through the interior of the forest, so that you can see impressive views of this forest of hazel, as well as the peaks of Mampodre, the town of Solle and the whole mountain of the upper Porma in general.
