French Association of Zoological Parks

The French Association of Zoological Parks (AFdPZ), formerly known as the National Association of Zoological Parks (ANPZ), is the professional association grouping the zoological parks of France.

Created in 1969, it plays an important role as an interlocutor with all the administrations concerned by the activities of its members, on subjects as diverse as the protection of nature, sanitary regulation or work. / p>

Originally founded under the name of "National Association of Parks and Private Zoological Gardens", the ANPJZ accredited its members by the attribution of a symbolic unicorn, which wanted to be a quality label. Its first president was the Franco-American ornithologist Jean Théodore Delacour. edit code
