The Leti Islands are located in the south-west of the Indonesian archipelago of the Moluccas. The archipelago comprises three main islands namely from West to East:

They are separated by straits of 2 to 3 kilometers; the complex covers an area of ​​750 km2 and includes 16,664 inhabitants in the 2010 census.

Administratively, they belong to the Southwest Maluku kabupaten in the Maluku province.
