Mathilde Maria Josepha Anna Xaveria of Saxony (Bamberg, January 17, 1936) is a member of the house Wettin and a granddaughter of the last ruling ruler of Saxony, Frederik August III of Saxony.
She is the youngest daughter of Frederik Christiaan of Saxony and Elisabeth Helene von Thurn and Taxis and a younger sister of the current head of the house Wettin, Maria Emanuel of Saxony.
She married Maria Hendrik of Saxony-Coburg-Gotha on October 15, 1968. The couple got a son, Johannes, who died in 1987 in a ski accident. In 1995, Princess Mathilde and Prince Johan separated.
