Air mass box

An air mass bomb, also a heat storm, is a mood that develops in cold mass behind a cold front. At the edge of the cells there is a rising current which causes cumulus clouds, while in the middle of the cells it is cloudy due to the drop currents. There is little vertical windscreen here. The clouds can then grow into cumulonimbus with precipitation. Often the cold fall currents get the upper hand, causing the mood to lose its power source of warm rising currents. Generally, this occurs within half an hour, but because of the frequent occurrence of multiple cells, this can cause a few hours of rainfall. Literature
