Kenneth Baker is a fictional character in the Metal Gear Solid video game series.
He is the president of a huge armament development corporation called ArmsTech Inc. He is taken hostage with Donald Anderson during the Shadow Moses riots. The terrorists, who called themselves "the Big Boss's children," needed Kenneth Baker and Donald Anderson, as they each knew part of the activation code for the warheads. Both had created the Metal Gear Rex project. For Baker this meant the possibility of removing his company from the crisis, which had lost its importance after the Cold War.
While in Shadow Moses, Baker relies on the Metal Gear REX data disc and the PAL card to Meryl Silverburgh. Psycho Mantis tries to read his mind in order to get the detonation code, but is unsuccessful, due to brain implant surgery that provides psychometric isolation. For this reason it passes into the hands of the torturer Revolver Ocelot, also called Shalashaska, which ties Kenneth Baker to columns with plastic explosive, activatable to the smallest contact. ArmsTech's president was able to resist the powers of Psycho Mantis but could not stand the physical pain and confessed the detonation key. After the confrontation between Revolver Ocelot and Solid Snake, Kenneth Baker speaks to Snake about ArmsTech and gives him an access card. Immediately afterwards die FOXDIE victim.
