The Likkoutei Amarim (Hebrew: ליקוטי אמרים "collection of statements"), better known as Tanya (Judeo-Aramaic: תניא "he was taught") is one of the first works of Shneur Zalman of Liadi , founder of the Habad-Lubavitch Chassidic Dynasty.
First published in 1797, it comprises five sections and defines the essence of Chassidic doctrine and theology, in the form of a manual for spiritual life and daily practice. School library Haba "d, written by the successors of Shneur Zalman, is based on his approach. edit code
