Alice Annotated (The Annotated Alice) is an edition commented by Martin Gardner of the two great stories by Lewis Carroll: Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass, published in 1960. It consists of the full text of both stories accompanied by comments that make reading a highly enriching experience for adults. Another of his achievements is to bring this history, essentially Anglo-Saxon, to the non-Anglophone reader thanks to the exhaustive explanation of every detail, especially his recurring puns.
