Citi Field is a baseball stadium in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the Flushing district of Queens City, New York City. It has been the stadium of the New York Mets since its inception in March 2009. The stadium was built from 2006 to 2009 next to the Shea Stadium. The latter was broken down in winter 2008-2009 to accommodate additional parking for the Citi Field. The stadium has 41,800 seats.
