Cosmito is an old Penco station. It is part of the Rucapequén - Concepción branch. The station is in disuse. The branch is currently occupied in the section Concepción - Lirquén for cargo services by the carriers Ferrocarril del Pacífico S.A. (FEPASA) and Andrés Pirazzoli Rail Transport (Transap). The road beyond Lirquén is not enabled, and between Nueva Aldea and Rucapequén, it is thought to reactivate traffic, which was activated on the Rucapequén - Coelemu stretch, until 1996.
