The Center for Women's Studies is a research laboratory founded by Hélène Cixous in 1974, within the Department of Anglo-American Studies at the Vincennes University Experimental Center.

In anticipation of the emergence of a new subject of study in feminism, the Center for Women's Studies was multidisciplinary and played an important historical role in the evolution of the humanities.

It became the Center for Women's Studies and Gender Studies of the University Paris VIII, incorporating in its title the achievements of the Anglo-Saxon movement "gender studies", which he was the one of the precursors. Certificates issuedchange the code edit code
