The archdiocese of Nidaros was the former Catholic district that included Norway in the late Middle Ages. Its headquarters were at Nidaros Cathedral, in present-day Trondheim. The archdiocese existed from the 12th century to the Protestant Reformation.

The diocese of Nidaros (which is not to be confused with its namesake established by the Church of Norway of Lutheran confession), created in 1030, was raised to the rank of archdiocese in 1153. Its authority extended over Norway, but also a time on lands under Norwegian domination: Iceland, Greenland, Isle of Man, Orkney Islands, Shetland, Faroe Islands, Hebrides, etc. It is suppressed in 1537 after the Archbishop's flight to the Reformation.

Restored in a new form in 1931, it is now the territorial prelature of Trondheim.
