The Harimaw Buno, formerly Harimaw Lumad (King of Tiger Fight), is a style of Buno used by the mangyans of Mindoro and the Aetas of Infanta, Quezon, although usually the Buno uses standing projections, control holds, manipulation of joints, knockdowns, and ground fighting techniques, the martial artist can also use weapons. The weapons that the practitioner can use are knives, spears, bow and arrows. However, the main weapon used is the "lubid" or four-foot-long rope.

Since this martial art was developed by the indigenous Filipino tribes, the Buno has a number of unorthodox training methods. The training uses mud training, with canoes, with trunks, Tamaraw fighting and tree climbing.

The term "Buno" is also used in Filipino to describe people who kill each other, since it means "kill" or "throw" in Tagalog. Other
