The Central Council of Jews in Germany (Zentralz der Juden in Deutschland, ZDJ) is the largest organization of Jewish regional communities and associations in Germany. It was founded on 19 July 1950 in Frankfurt am Main and has been headquartered in Berlin since 1999. Twenty-three regional associations and 108 communities, comprising 105,000 members, are members. Since November 2014, the President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany has been the Bavarian doctor Josef Schuster.
