The Samsung Galaxy Tab range is the line of Android tablets manufactured by Samsung Electronics. It is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note range but without the S Pen. The first tablet was the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab and was presented at the IFA. Different models were launched, one with 7.7, 8.9 and 10.1 inches. The Wi-Fi versions include GPS and support for 3G and 4G networks in SIM.

The original Galaxy Tab (renamed Galaxy Tab 7.0 with the 7.7, 8.9 and 10.1 lamzamiento) was released in September 2010 at the IFA. The Galaxy Tab was the first Android tablet to be released to the public. It has an Exynos processor with 1 GHz and a single core, an LCD screen and a resolution of 1024 x 600 px.

Its operating system was Android 2.2 Froyo with some customizations in terms of appearance. In May 2011, an update to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread would be available. Some additional updates were made in February 2012, for example, an update to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.
