Roger Tiegs (born June 18, 1972), stage name Infernus, is a Norwegian musician, famous for being the founding member of the black metal band Gorgoroth in 1992. He is or has already been involved in other groups such as Borknagar, Orcustus, Norwegian Evil, or Desekrator. He is mainly a guitarist, but has already played bass, drums and sometimes even vocals in Gorgoroth. He practically wrote the first five Gorgoroth albums in their entirety.
In 2007, Infernus was "fired" from Gorgoroth by the two other members who arrived in 1998. There was a legal battle, which Infernus took away on March 10, 2009.
