Maxwell D. Phillips


Maxwell D. Phillips, a US Secret Service agent (CIA) in connection with the JFK murder investigation, was one of those responsible for compiling the November 22, 1963, recordings in Dallas. Its name appears in document CD87, of the Warren Commission, referring to the Zapruder recording.

Maxwell D. Phillips sent a handwritten memo (Warren Commission Document, CD87) to Chief of Secret Service James Rowley which read: According to Mr. Zapruder the position of the killer was behind him (textual "According to Mr Zapruder the position of the assassin was behind Mr Zapruder."
