Locomotive (album)

Blops or Locomotora is the third and last album of the Chilean band Los Blops, recorded in 1973, published in 1974. Unlike its two last albums, the style of this album is characterized by completely ignoring the Folk- Rock that characterized them completely embracing the Jazz Fusion, with subjects longer than the previous ones and 100% instrumental. Nor did it count on the participation of guitarist Julio Villalobos, who by that time was no longer officially part of the group (having retired definitively in May of 1973), being replaced by the pianist Juan Carlos Villegas. The master was lost, in the post-blow era.

This record was recorded at RCA studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in only 14 hours. This studio was available to the band thanks to its producer Pepe Romeu.

The album had little promotion, with only 500 copies being edited in Chile.
