Aller Shield

The coat of arms of Aller, council of the Principality of Asturias (Spain), is a shield divided into four parts or quarters.

In the first one, the one on the top left, there are three golden castles that refer to those that were once in the council: Pelúgano, Soto and El Pino.

In the second, to the right, the arms of the Bernardo de Quirós are represented by two keys, six lunettes placed three by three and three gold fleur de lis.

The third, down to the left, is dedicated to the weapons of the Solis, being a golden sun on a red background.

Finally, in the fourth, lower right, is for the weapons of the Castañón and Nembra families. You see a chestnut from which an arm comes out armed with a calder hanging from it.

In the center of the barracks is the Victory Cross in gold and precious stones.

On top of the whole is the royal crown, since the council was realengo of Doña Urraca "the Asturian", Queen of Navarre, Asturias, and Lady of Aller.
