Anne Applebaum
Anne Elizabeth Applebaum (Washington D.C., June 25, 1964) is an American journalist known for her studies and articles devoted to the history of communism and the development of a civil society in central and eastern Europe. From 2006 she is a columnist and belongs to the Washington Post editorial editor.
With her book Gulag: a history (2003) about the history of the concentration camps in the Soviet Union she won a Pulitzer Prize in 2004.
She lives with her husband, former Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, in Poland. They have two children. Books
