Superset

"Superset" is an English word for a collection, which includes another collection. It is the counterpart of the concept subset. In other words, if A is a subset of B then B is a superset of A. Subset is much more used than superset. With the same two sets A and B is said: "B includes A".

An example is the set of real numbers R {\displaystyle \mathbb {R} } , containing the set of natural numbers N {\displaystyle \mathbb {N} } includes. Each element from the collection N {\displaystyle \mathbb {N} } appears in the collection R {\displaystyle \mathbb {R} } .
