The Festival of the Sea was held between 11 and 14 June 2004 in Barcelona on the occasion of the Universal Forum of Cultures. It was an event dedicated to the sea and to the marine culture that gathered in the port of Barcelona a lot of classic and traditional boats, some of them as emblematic as the ship-school of the United Kingdom, Holland or Spain. The activities of the Festival of the Sea were completed with exhibitions, film screenings, debates, crews parades, parades, marine music and visits to the boats. About 400,000 people attended this event.
