Open and Free Technology Community (OFTC) is a network that provides IRC services to the free software community. OFTC has 32 staff volunteers, and 21 servers. The official website is http://www.oftc.net/, and the primary DNS is irc.oftc.net.

OFTC was founded at the end of 2001 by a group of experienced free software members.
OFTC separated from OpenProjects because, according to the staff, they were not satisfied with the administration of the network. Services
OFTC provides an IRC service, just as it also offers mailing lists. Software
OFTC uses a modified version of Hybrid-IRCD as IRCD. And, as a service package, its own Hybrid-Services modification.
